2018 National CFL Combine 40yd Dash Results

The 2018 National CFL Combine was held over the weekend in Winnipeg at the RBC Convention Centre. The invitation-only event tested athletes in six different game disciplines: 40 Yard Dash, Bench Press, Vertical Jump, Broad Jump, Shuttle and 3-Cone Drill. SMARTSPEED is the official timing system of the Canadian Football League (CFL) Combines.


The 40 yard dash saw athletes showcasing their speed and agility, sprinting the length of 40 yards from a static position. CFL greats of combines past have achieved sprint times sub 4.40s. The all-time leader for the, National CFL Combine 40 Yard Dash, is Stephen Turner with a time of 4.31s, run in 2010. This year’s 40 yard dash saw Daniel Petermann of McMaster University run a 4.54s sprint to take out 2018's fastest time. See Petermann’s fastest run in the video below:
