S3 Episode 5 | The Vertical Jump for NFL Athletes
The Vertical Jump is the quintessential test in NFL training for lower extremity explosiveness and power, and is a great indicator of athletic ability. Using the Fusion Sport Smartjump Mat we are able to measure and control the drill, targeting highly specific zones for ground contact time and power output.
Coach Mike Young takes us through some key training points to assist athletes in learning the correct technique for the vertical jump. In this seemingly simple drill, the correct technique will ensure you are getting the most out of your athletes.
